As part of the Social Studies and Health curriculums, the grade 5/6 students get the opportunity to be care partners with the kindergartens once each six day cycle. These kids are PHENOMENAL!!! I can not say enough good about them and how they work with my wee little ones. Here are some of my favourite pictures from our care partner sessions so far.
In the grade 5/6 Class we are learning about advocacy. We are making prezis.Prezi is a website where you can make slideshows about different things. We are making one about saving the mistreated animals. We chose this one because we feel best about supporting the animals. There are many different topics, but we chose this one.
On this fine, beautiful Autumn long weekend, I know that all of you are just frothing at the bit to be doing some homework. Have no fear, Miss Hodgins is here! :)
Well, okay, it's not REALLY homework, but since some of you had expressed interest in working on your Advocacy Project at home, I figured I'd remind you that Prezi is available wherever one can get the internet. That being said, I am posting my own Prezi to remind you of the required elements of your assignment. As with all Prezis, if you want to see them in full screen, simply click on the button at the bottom right hand corner (it looks like a rectangle). You must click the "Start Prezi" button in order for it to work in the first place. :) Have fun!
