We carved pumpkins. The insides were gross. My pumpkin had a silly nose, silly eyes and a silly mouth. Caleb helped me carve pumpkins. We paint our feet. Then we washed them with water. We played with the parachute. We played cat and mice. I eated my lunchable for lunch and my yogurt drink and my water. There was a haunted house. It was scary. I wasn't even scared! We played straws and kitchen and computers and lego and puppets with the big kids. And barbies! When I get home I will go trick or treating. That's it. ~Jackson
We played marbles. We played with lego and I got to play the violin. We go outside. We took pictures. I liked getting my picture taken. Benji was in the class picture. I played a wooden logic puzzle. She played Barbies with me. I went to the book fair with my mom. And guess what? She said I might win the draw! I bought books. We always play x's and o's. We switch the letters sometimes. I love Taryn and my mom! That tree is the wonderfulest! I love it and it is decorated for Halloween. The big kids made it. ~Kadi

"Today we learned about G. We got to play today! For show and tell I brought flowers (geraniums) and a gorilla. Other kids brought a giraffe, green markers, grizzley bear, goats. That's it! Brandon was my care partner. We went on the Franklin books. We made a ghost! And that's all." Bye! From Denaya
Today we were a very lucky group of kidlets! We got to go on a field trip to the Fire Station!!! Even our kindergarten helpers got to tag along! Firefighter Duane (aka Denaya's daddy) took us all over the fire station, showing us all the cool trucks, gear and gadgets. Even Sparky showed up for a visit! As if the trip wasn't cool enough, we came back home with a ton of loot! We got fire hats, Band-Aids, colouring books, stickers, tattoos and even more! A great big, huge thanks to the Prince Albert Firefighters and especially Firefighter Duane for the awesome experience!
Whenever Miss Hodgins has to be away from her class, she tries very hard to get in Mrs. WS (known to the students as "Grandma Moses"--yes, they are allowed to call her that!) in to teach. "Grandma Moses" kindly agreed to be our guest blogger for the day. :) "I had a wonderful day in Miss Hodgins’ Kindergarten class. The activities she plans are always lots of fun. We went to the gym and played some games. “What time is it Mr. Wolf?” is a great game! We also skipped and galloped around the gym. Today we talked about the letter A and students brought items that start with the letter. We also practiced printing the letter. The grade 6 care partners came and did math with us. We worked on the numbers 1, 2, and 3. After we were done our math they helped us make our Thanksgiving Turkey. We read the book “Who Will Carve the Thanksgiving Turkey?” We decided it would probably be a good idea to let Grandpa carve the turkey. We also talked about all the things we have to be thankful for. Center Time is so much fun. The students are so creative and imaginative! Thanks Miss Hodgins and kindergartens for a very enjoyable day!" Mrs. Wieler-Spriggs (aka Grandma Moses)
On Friday, October 4th the kindergarten class headed out to Little Red Park for our autumn nature hike. We had beautiful weather and a great time was had by all. A great big thank you goes out to all the parent volunteers!!!
Since most parents don't get to see our bulletin boards, I thought I would post a picture of our current work in progress--complete with our nature crafts from the treasures we found during our nature walk.
